A simple version with a QR code printed on the label or a standard NFC tag, without anti-counterfeiting: we give you the link and your label printer prints the QR code.
Frequently asked questions
Is the wine e-label mandatory?
For wines produced from 8 December 2023, the list of ingredients and the nutrition declaration are mandatory (EU Regulation 2021/2117). They can be provided online, through a QR code or a tag on the bottle, as long as the energy value and allergens remain on the physical label.
Can I use just a QR code, without an NFC tag?
Yes: the e-label and the passport also work with a printed QR code. The NTAG 424 DNA tag adds authenticity verification, which a QR code cannot provide because it can be copied with a photo.
Is an app needed?
No. The phone opens the page in the browser, either by tapping the NFC tag or by scanning the QR code.
What data do you collect about consumers?
On the e-label, none: no cookies or tracking, as the EU guidelines require. On the passport we count taps by country and city, with no personal data.
How much does it cost?
The anti-counterfeiting kit costs €1,790 incl. VAT: 500 programmed NTAG 424 DNA tags and the first year of the Anti-counterfeiting platform plan. The rest depends on how many labels and bottles you have: in 30 minutes we will tell you the right set-up and the price. Kits ship to Italy, San Marino and Vatican City; for other countries, request a quote.
Is there a platform fee?
The first year is included in the kit; from the second year there is an annual renewal with a single invoice, incl. VAT: Winery S €119/year (up to 20 wines), Winery M €299/year (up to 100 wines), Winery L €599/year (unlimited wines), always with e-label, passport and batches. NTAG 424 DNA authenticity verification is part of the Anti-counterfeiting plan, €599/year. All the tags in the kit can be activated.
What if I stop renewing?
Bottles already on the market are unaffected: e-label, passport and authenticity verification keep working. Only editing wines, adding new tags and statistics are blocked; when you renew, you pick up where you left off.
